Large boulders are loosened from the solid bedrock through blasting. Further steps are then required to process the rock into basic building materials such as crushed rock, gravel or sand. The large stones are crushed into different grain sizes by jaw and roller crushers. To enable economic operation and keep wear and tear on the crusher to a minimum, level measurement and limit level detection are required.
