Airlines & Aviation

IoT connectivity for aviation operations — ground equipment tracking, cargo monitoring, passenger services, and airport facility management.

Overview

Aviation ground operations are a tracking problem, a safety problem, and an access problem at the same time. Equipment moves constantly inside the fence, cargo leaves the country, and every airside zone has a list of who may enter it. Cargo is where connectivity usually breaks. International Roaming SIMs work across GCC and international networks on a single SIM, so a ULD or cargo tracker keeps reporting through every leg without a swap at the border or a separate invoice per country, and cold chain monitoring holds pharmaceutical and perishable freight in range across the route. Inside the perimeter, asset and equipment tracking covers tugs, belt loaders, and ground power units, with utilisation hours showing what is actually being used and what the fleet is oversized on. The ramp is one of the more dangerous workplaces on an airport. Camera-based blind-spot alerts warn operators of people in the danger zone, and in-cab monitoring catches fatigue and distraction on airside vehicles. Access control governs the rest: biometric, card, and mobile credentials on restricted zones, visitor management for contractors and delivery drivers at the gate, and contract worker management for the ground handling companies that make up much of the headcount.
