Public Transport & Bus Connectivity

Overview

A bus carries a dual-SIM router that keeps passenger Wi-Fi, ticketing, real-time schedule screens, and onboard CCTV online as the vehicle crosses cell sectors. It fails over between carriers on the move and adds GNSS for location, so the fleet stays connected and tracked across the route.

Challenges

  • A moving vehicle hands off between cell towers constantly
  • Passengers expect Wi-Fi, live schedules, and e-ticketing
  • Onboard CCTV and ticketing need a continuous uplink
  • A single carrier leaves gaps along the route

Benefits

  • Dual-SIM failover that holds a link on the move
  • Passenger Wi-Fi, ticketing, and schedule screens online
  • Onboard CCTV and telematics on one uplink
  • GNSS location for real-time fleet tracking
