RedCap trims 5G down to what an IoT endpoint actually needs. The RUT271 reaches 223 Mbps down on 3GPP Release 17, falls back to 4G LTE Cat 4 where RedCap is not deployed, and adds a Wi-Fi access point with hotspot support.
