Snapshot
Ataa Educational Services operates a Smart School Bus program across 17 schools and 6,000 students on 300 buses. The IPTech rollout combines fleet tracking, student commute monitoring, and real-time field attendance with ETA-driven schedule compliance — all connected to Ataa's ERP through a two-way integration that keeps student records, subscriptions, and transport data continuously synchronized. Parents, drivers, and monitors coordinate through a unified mobile-app suite available in Arabic and English.

The Challenge
Ataa Educational Services operates 300 school buses across 17 schools, serving 6,000 students in Saudi Arabia. Coordinating daily transport for 6,000 students — across 17 schools on separate routes, with parents expecting real-time updates — required a platform that could hold student records, bus positions, and school administration data in a single synchronised system. Without two-way ERP integration, subscription changes and student route assignments required manual updates in both Ataa's school management system and the transport platform. Parent communication relied on phone calls from school offices rather than automated notifications. Schedule compliance monitoring was not GPS-based, giving operations management limited visibility on adherence to planned timetables.
Our Solution
IPTech deployed the Smart School Bus platform across all 300 buses and 17 schools. RFID-based student commute monitoring records every boarding and alighting event, with real-time field attendance visible to school monitors and dispatchers as trips proceed. A two-way ERP integration connects the IPTech platform directly to Ataa's school management system — student records, subscriptions, and transport data stay continuously synchronised without manual intervention. Route planning and optimisation tools give dispatch staff the ability to adjust routes when student enrolment changes. ETA-based schedule monitoring tracks every bus against its planned timetable in real time. The Parent App, Driver App, and Monitor App — all available in Arabic and English — give each stakeholder a purpose-built mobile interface: parents receive live bus location and arrival notifications; drivers receive job scheduling; monitors track student attendance in the field. Customised hardware workflow and event generation adapt the system to Ataa's specific requirements across 17 school sites.
The Results
300 buses operate across 17 Ataa schools under unified real-time visibility, serving 6,000 students. RFID-based boarding records have replaced manual attendance, with real-time field data available to school monitors throughout every trip. Two-way ERP synchronisation has eliminated the manual data reconciliation that previously required transport coordinators to maintain duplicate records. Parents track their child's bus live and receive automated arrival notifications through the bilingual mobile app. The deployment supports 35 staff members managing transport operations across all 17 school sites.
